YOO, Seung Jeong, who graduated form Keongbuk High School and Seoul National University, passed the 21st Korean Bar Exam in 1979 and finished the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 1981. After being appointed as a judge of the Seoul Criminal District Court in September 1981, he served in the judicial system of Korea for more than 30 years. After being resigned from the Chief Judge of Seoul Southern District Court in February 2012, he joined Barun Law LLC as a partner attorney. During his tenure as judge, he was in charge of corporate reorganization, construction, tax and industrial disaster related disputes. He also heard cases at the senior level civil and criminal divisions. He primarily practices corporate related civil, criminal and administrative litigation. As a judge, Mr. Yoo, who values understanding of and affection to humanity, committed to deliberating merits of cases in an equal and fair manner on the basis of findings from evidence. In addition, he has been highly respected from his colleagues and junior judges and was selected by his colleagues and junior judges as a senior judge and a chief judge with whom they wanted work.
