Attorney MOON, Seong Woo specializes in criminal matters, especially with regard to tax criminal law. He served in a number of key positions in the prosecutors’ office during his 25-years of service, including Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Justice, Deputy Minister for Criminal Affairs of the Ministry of Justice, Director General of Planning and Coordination of the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, as well as serving as Deputy Chief Prosecutor and Chief Prosecutor with the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office and Gwangju District Prosecutors’ Office. During such time, he dealt with cases regarding corporate crime, food and medical related offense, finance and tax related offense, foreign exchange and tariff related offense, fair trade related offense, environment and labor related offense, real estate and construction related offense, etc.
While serving as prosecutor, Attorney Moon also served as member of the Judicial Reform Committee and Presidential Committee on Judicial Reform, and the Chief of the National Investigation Reform Group. He was awarded the Decoration for Excellent Service to the Nation in 2003 (Hongjogeunjeong Hunjang)> and in 2012 (Hwangjogeunjegon Hunjang).
