Attorney SUH, Myung Su was sworn in as a judge of the Seoul Civil District Court in September, 1982 and continued his services in the Korean court system for 28 years, including serving as Research Judge of the Supreme Court of Korea, Chief Senior Judge of the Seoul Southern District Court, Senior Judge of the Seoul Central District Court and Chief Senior Judges of the Incheon District Court, until his retirement as the Senior Judge of the Seoul High Court in February, 2010. He joined Barun Law LLC as a partner attorney in March 2010.
While serving as a Research Judge of the Supreme Court, he was in charge of a number of appeal cases to the Supreme Court, and was in charge of dispute matters concerning corporate governance, litigation between companies, commercial matters, cases regarding breaches o the Public Official Election Act/Political Fund Act, and criminal cases with regard to embezzlement/breach of trust by top managers of major corporations. Attorney Suh’s practice mainly focuses in criminal matters, including breaches of the Public Official Election Act and the Political Fund Act, and corporate-related civil and criminal litigation cases.
