Expert Advisor Baek Seung-Hyup graduated from Korea University, majoring in German Language and German Literature and worked at various mid-level and large-scale construction companies in Korea, including Yuwon Construction, Sungjee Construction, Jungheung Construction, Hanbek Construction and was involved in various overseas projects such as those in the Philippines, Bangladesh, Dubai, Ghana, and Vietnam. Mr. Baek is a veteran in the field of overseas construction as he was in charge of direct investments and ODA overseas order businesses conducted by Korean companies in Vietnam during the last recent decade. He received orders for civil engineering projects to be locally carried out in Vietnam, managed subcontractors, and transferred projects to local project owners. He resolved numerous issues concerning disputes over repair works for defects and directly took part in negotiations with Vietnamese public officials to settle complicated issues. Mr. Baek joined Barun Law at the end of 2022 and he provides advisory services to companies that are doing business in emerging markets, such as Vietnam.
