법무법인 바른은 지난 23일 오후 서울 삼성동 바른빌딩에서 이머징마켓 연구회 첫 세미나를 개최했습니다.
이날 열린 첫 세미나에서는 연구회 부회장을 맡은 최재웅 변호사가 '외국중재판정의 승인과 집행에 대한 한중법원의 태도'에 대해 발표하고, 코트라 동북아사업단의 황재원 단장이 '2018년 중국 통상환경 변화와 대응방안'을 주제로 발표했습니다.
한편, 법무법인 바른은 중국, 베트남, 러시아, 중앙아시아 등 신흥국 법률시장 연구를 위해 사내 '이머징마켓 연구회'를 운영하고 있습니다. 연구회 회장으로는 한명관 변호사가 활동하며, 최재웅 변호사는 중국 유학과 로펌에서 근무한 경력을 바탕으로 중국을 전담합니다.
또, 한태영 변호사는 러시아 및 중앙아시아, 김용우 변호사는 베트남, 최지훈 외국 변호사는 인도네시아를 담당하고 있습니다. 이외에도 현재 싱가포르에서 근무 중인 오희정 외국 변호사는 연구회 고문을 맡아 동남아시아 업계 트렌드와 이슈 등을 공유하며 연구회와 긴밀히 협조해나가고 있습니다.

Law hosted the Emerging Market Research Society’s first seminar on March 23,
2018 at Barun Law Building located at Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Attorney
Jae Woong Choi, who serves as the vice chairman of the society, gave a
presentation on “Attitude of Korean and Chinese Courts towards Approval and
Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards,” and Jae Won Hwang, the head of the
Northeast Asia Business Office KOTRA, gave a presentation on “Changes in China’s
Trade Environment in 2018 and Response Thereto.”

Law’s Emerging Market Research Society is dedicated to conducting research on
the legal markets of emerging countries, such as China, Vietnam, Russia and
Central Asia. Attorney Myung Kwan Hahn heads the society as its chairman, and
Attorney Jae Woong Choi is in charge of research on China, based on his
experience of studying in China and working at a Chinese law firm. Research on
Russia is led by Attorney Tae Young Han, and research on Vietnam and Indonesia
are led by Attorney Yong Woo Kim and Foreign Attorney Paul Choi, respectively. In addition, Foreign Attorney Hijoung Oh, who
is currently working in Singapore, serves as counsel for the society and offers
latest news on the market trends and issues of Southeast Asia.
